CES Update... what's going on at Techie Heaven.
Lot's of news for us Printing Maniacs at CES 2009
First hand Polaroid plans to sell their mobile printer -no ink needed device around back-to-school time for about $150. The printer, a bit bigger than a deck of cards will not require ink, because it employs a thermal printing technology from startup Zink Imaging Inc. The images will be printed into 2 inch by 3 inch pictures from cell phones and digital cameras and will be done via Bluetooth wireless or USB port.
Second PlanOn will debut a new 1.5lbs PrintStik 900 that improves the mobile printer PS910 by adding some color to 200-600 DPI prints from any Bluetooth cell phone or via USB cable.
And last but not least a Digital Photo Frame by About Prinics Co. that will print 6 different types of ID Photo prints of 150 X 100 mm / 6 X 4 inches. The company is from South Korea. It has one cartridge with ribbon and paper (36 copies).
