Free Security Tool From HP
A news release made today from HP announces awesome news for Flash developers. We’ve made a point on giving you relevant information regarding your online security and thus feel the news are very important for many of us.
HP is providing a free of charge service that allows Flash developers to deliver more secure code without becoming security experts. Most companies are using Web 2.0 technologies and the SWFScan automatically finds vulnerabilities of security in applications built on the Flash platform. “Applications developed with Flash technologies are no more immune to security vulnerabilities than any other web applications,” said Joseph Feiman, vice president and fellow, Gartner. “Giving Flash developers the ability to check whether their code is secure, providing guidance on how to fix it, and offering best secure-programming practices will help to protect businesses and their customers from hackers.”
After analyzing about 4,000 Flash web applications, HP found that 35% violate Adobe security best practices.
