Interviewing the Printer that printed your checks; IBM InfoPrint 1570 MICR 50

After long negotiation with our guest to make some time for our interview due to the fact that printing checks is an ongoing very important task. Today we feature for the first time in our panel the IBM InfoPrint 1570 MICR 50. Please give it a warm welcome.
IBM 1570 MICR 50: Oh thank you, if I would have known this interview was so expected by most of you, I would have stopped earlier. I surely appreciate the interest in me and my work.
Inkjetsuperstore.com: Great. Well I’m going to ask two technical questions to you and then because you do not actually do any crafts, you could but we’ll stick to check printing. We’d like to ask you to use your monetary expertise and share with us cheap gift ideas for Easter. The first question might be rather obvious to you but most of us don’t know this. Do you use a special toner cartridge to print our checks?
IBM 1570 MICR 50: The type of cartridge I use is called MICR toner. The reason it is special is because it contains magnetic ink. As the check passes through a check reading machine, the reader sends a magnetic charge to each check, which allows it to read the characters contained within the MICR line. The Federal Reserve and most banks require that checks be printed with MICR toner for ease of processing and to avoid rejection of the checks.
Inkjetsuperstore.com: Due to the importance of the information you convey to banks and institutions. Is there any security features integrated with in your system?
IBM 1570 MICR 50: Oh yes indeed. Actually not only one or two, there are 12 security measures in different parts of the process and for me as a machine and for the user. Just to give you an idea, I handle different types of Fonts like the ICR Numeric Font that minimizes risk of fraud because it is an image based security layer. Another example is the MicroPrint Font that allows the user to add micro text with in the inside lines of MICR documents. I have software password so not just anybody who touches me can print checks. Hardware as well, not necessarily all the people that use the hardware use the software so that adds security clearance. I could go on and on about the security when printing your checks.
Inkjetsuperstore.com: That is a relief to most of us. The information provided is very important to us and we thank you. Well unfortunately this is the last question, I’m sure you feel as we do that our chat could go on for hours. Do you have any suggestions for Cheap Easter Gifts or ideas?
IBM 1570 MICR 50: Well a hard question in deed because really what you want to do is make that special someone feel thought of and that has no price. My suggestion is to give an Easter Basket and the filling can be anything from chocolate, to small toys, to different types of cheese and my personal favorite add some decorated eggs and the ink or toner cartridge the person uses. Everyone has a printer nowadays and you always need to print. The color of Easter will last longer than the holiday.

See you tomorrow for our last printer interview of this week.
