The advantages of a Laser Printer

This topic will be discussed over and over. Obviously the differences and the advantages will always be a discussion where you need to choose a side. Today we will take a moment and provide you with one side of the coin. The laser side!

The main advantages of a laser printer over an inkjet are: Speed, Precision and Economy. Originally laser printers had been left for “office use only” because they were more expensive to buy upfront but provided real solutions for a fast paced environment like printing long sets of documents.

A laser printer moves quickly, it performs at greater speed than an inkjet with substantially less ink. Toner cartridges last longer than ink cartridges. The reason it can perform with such velocity is directly credited to the laser beam who has an unvarying diameter, thus drawing more precisely, with out spilling any excess ink.

When laser printers where born their expensive price was the reason they were purchased by offices and corporations but with new technology being born almost every day, laser printers have gotten much more affordable. Nowadays you can pick up a basic model for a fraction of a difference if any of a nice inkjet printer.

But the best is yet to come, research continues and every year we are gladly surprised with better performance all around. Obviously the choice is yours. We just provided one side of the coin but tomorrow that side might just flip around.
