Understanding that we are not the only ones with the goal of delivering valuable printer reviews we’d like to quote an Editor’s Choice Review given to the Canon Pixma MP980 Wireless Photo All-In-One Printer by PCMag.

“In some ways, the MP980 is a straightforward update to the MP970, sharing most of the same features. It can print, scan, copy, and e-mail—by opening a message on your PC and adding a scanned document as an attachment. It can both scan and print directly from 35mm slides and strips of film, and print directly from PictBridge cameras and memory cards (but not USB keys), letting you preview photos on a 3.5-inch color LCD display. The two models even share the same lack of office-centric features, with no automatic document feeder (ADF) or fax support.”

“The MP980 uses six ink cartridges: cyan, yellow, magenta, dye-based black, dye-based gray, and pigment-based black”

“You can pretty well count on almost any inkjet printer today to print photos that are as good at what you'd get from your local drugstore. Photos printed on the MP980 are far closer to a professional photo labs output, with quality suitable for framing.”

The MP970 and MP980 differ in many ways but major change is the number of cartridge used. The MP980 offers excellent features. I am surely going to purchase this printer.
