When to Print with Fine Linen Paper

There is regular paper, photo paper, recycled paper, and then LINEN paper; we can say the top of the list, the “hot shot” of papers. Obviously you don’t use this kind of specialty paper on any print job. There are specific printing jobs so you can show off the first rate paper you have.

Let’s get right on with the printing options:

1. Stationery: Make a long lasting impression by using Linen paper it surely gives your clients or prospective business partners a sense that you use the best and are the best at what you do.
2. Brochures: Taking into consideration the previous explanation, having a brochure in Linen paper really projects you towards excellence.
3. Announcements: Birth Announcements, Wedding Invitations, and Anniversaries this list can go on and on.
4. Newsletters: I know we are used to sending out e-Newsletters nowadays but those special news, launches etc. will definitely be given a second glance when send with such an elegant design.
5. Greetings: Christmas Cards, Mothers Day cards, and Valentines Cards look even more special when not only you say they are the best but you are using the best paper to place your inner most feelings.
6. Reminders: Remind associates of meetings can give it an extra touch with Linen paper.
7. Sales Group Meetings: Your sales group is the heart of your business they are your front line and to make them feel as such give them the best.
8. Open House Announcements: We already talked about announcements but this one was left out… ok I really wanted to finish in ten.
9. Certificates and Awards: You probably thought of this option to be the number one if we where rating them, right? Well then you don’t need me to add that as part of the ceremony and joy of finishing something usually Certificates and Awards end up on people’s walls, so the quality is the most important matter here.
10. Resumes: Stand out from the crowd; you only get one chance to make a first impression so try to make the best of it by using the best quality of paper along with your qualifications of course. In a clever way it can set your resume apart from the rest.

Some printing tips…

Linen paper is not the same as others so make sure you are extra careful when printing. Your ink or toner cartridge must have more than enough ink, it will be wise to clean your printer beforehand and do some printing test on another kind of paper before printing.

I'm trying to print a brochure, front and back, on our color laser printer on 24lb fine linen paper, but the toner smears on the front where the logo is. What type of paper do I tell the printer it is printing since fine linen paper isn't an option?

Linen paper is certainly the top of the range when it comes to printing options. There are many colors, many finishes and includes watermarking, and various finishes that resemble what ever you request. It is not cheap but should you be after something specific take a look or speak with your speciality printer, he or she may send some samples out to you.
