I purchased the HP Photosmart Premium and when changing ink cartridges for the first time it came back with this error "ink system failure". It was a nightmare and although Fry's exchanged it for a new one this appears, from what I read on the web, to be a cronic problem with the Photosmart printer. The ink cartridges that I sent with the exchange cost around $100.00. At this rate who can afford it?
