Ø Buy a cloth sack to put your groceries in, to avoid using plastic or paper bags.
Ø Use those old coffee cans and shoeboxes for containers for storing other items.
Ø Donate old clothes and toys and other household items to Goodwill or other collection centers.
Ø Get reusable containers in which to store food.

Ø Buy only paper towels, paper, greeting cards, and so on that are made with recycled materials.
Ø Get a collection of plastic bins in your garage or yard and use them to divide up your discards – paper, plastics, metal, glass, etc.
