Search Twitter's History via Google

Twitter is part of our daily lives now and searching has evolved from searching for friends or people to topics and trends and now we want the latest on our daily products and purchasing deals.

Bing and Yahoo already use twitter feeds as part of search results. Google has joined them with their own style of course, and that is allowing people to go back in time and see what Twitter had to say about a certain word let's say two months ago, or since the beginning of the year.

"Tweets and other short-form updates create a history of commentary that can provide valuable insights into what's happened and how people have reacted," Dylan Casey, product manager for Google real-time search, wrote in a blog post. "We want to give you a way to search across this information and make it useful."

We wanted to try it ourselves and made a quick test on one of our Top Selling Cartridges the HP 45 ink cartridge and it shows back some tweets from Feb 9th

Google calls this new feature "Replaying Tweets" stating: "By replaying tweets, you can explore any topic that people have discussed on Twitter. Want to know how the news broke about health care legislation in Congress, what people were saying about Justice Paul Stevens’ retirement or what people were tweeting during your own marathon run? These are the kinds of things you can explore with the new updates mode."

Our way of using this feature is to search for inkjetsuperstore's tweets because we are always tweeting special coupon codes, deals as well as all our blog post and facebook updates.  Great way to keep up with us in a jiffy!

Congrats Google We loved it!
