How to Print Your Own Bumper Stickers
I’m especially fond of bumper stickers, there is something about reading words of wisdom or really funny quotes while driving that cracks me up. Sometimes after looking for weeks to find the ones I like I used to give up. Until obviously the thought came to print my own! Bumper sticker printing is not a very complicated task but it is a lot easier when someone tells you how to do it in four easy steps.

Materials Needed:
Bumper Sticker Printing Steps:
a) Choose a template and design. There are plenty of templates or you can make your own in a simple word document. You can use them for marketing purposes, you can share your valuable insight or you can personalize a greeting for a loved one. Anything goes.
b) Prepare your Printer: Make sure you have plenty of ink available before starting to print, most printers warn you when ink levels are low so you can plan your ink purchasing. Most HP printers have a feature in their settings that have a tab called Estimated Ink Levels. The old school way is to print a test sheet in regular paper (that will also help you see if your margins are good). Also it is very important to change the print setting to “glossy” or “heavy” in case you are using a laser printer to allow toner to set in with out flaking off or bubbling.
c) Let them Dry: Like any other printing job you do let the bumper stickers dry before cutting and sticking them anywhere.
d) Cut and Paste: Obviously cut the bumper stickers to the size you choose and to make them look more professional. After printing get your bumper ready, clean the area where the sticker will be placed, carefully take out the backing paper of the sticker slowly and try to keep it flat and attach from one side to the other pressing down with your hand to take out bubbles and wrinkles.
I know a couple of hard core Hello Kitty fans that could use some bumper stickers like this ones.... don't paint it on use bumper stickers in case you realize like the rest of us that it's NOT that cool!

1) An Inkjet Printer . Some bumper sticker paper asks specifically for inkjet printers so make sure when purchasing you check what kind of printer ink is required.
2) Bumper Sticker Paper: Office Depot has inkjet, pre-scored to separate easily packs of 14 stickers. They include downloadable templates. Another option is to get Super Color® Ink Jet Bumper Stickers that are water resistant and you can print high resolution photos and graphics and to differ from the previous ones they are not perforations so you can cut to any size you need.
3) Plenty of Printer Ink: I’ll never get tired of repeating that the success of any printing task is to have enough printer ink for it to come out perfect. Do not start if you doubt your ink level and don’t have ink cartridges available to just open and pop in your printer. Visit us at Inkjetsuperstore.com and we can help you with your ink cartridge issues.
4) Scissors or Paper Cutter: It might seem obvious but it is good to repeat the importance of having some available so you can cut your bumper stickers.
5) A car or cars with a bumper! To showcase your creations obviously.
