This new technology that uses 8 different and individual Epson ink cartridges is the best for large format printing and great quality photo results. The R1900 printer allows you to achieve life like photos up to 13" wide. Like the name states this new ink has a gloss optimizer for professional glossy printing results. In order to achieve near to life skin tones you will find the red and orange cartridge. The other cartridges have been reformulated for richer colors.
The advantage of separate ink cartridges is the flexibility when one runs out of ink and the comfort of knowing you are using each and every drop of ink in the cartridge for the use set forth. There is a Matte option for the Black ink that can be used for specific printing options.
Another great feature of this amazing new ink is the water resistant and smudge and fade free prints that will last longer that you for sure. The prints are sealed and long lasting that in an album 300 years and under a glass in case of a frame 200 years.
