Spring is here and with it lots of new color and photos of course. Last year we gave you excellent tips on How to take and Print Flower Photos and welcoming spring we want to take some time and give you five great photo printers.

Photo printing success only comes coupled by a good printer, the right type of paper and quality printer ink. So the following is some info on the printer and the cartridge belonging to the printer along with a link to the specific photo paper for the best spring photo printing results.

Photo Inkjet Printers

HP Photosmart A636- This printer is fast and very easy to use. The printer's 4.8-inch, touch-sensitive color LCD responds to your finger or to a stylus. An optional battery is available. The printer takes an unusually broad range of paper sizes, from 4-by-6-inch pieces to panoramic (4-by-12-inch) paper to 5-by-7-inch sheets.
The original Tri-color cartridge can be found for $22.99  and the remanufactured HP cartridge only for $12.99

A good paper option for this printer is the HP Original (OEM) Borderless Premium Plus High-gloss Inkjet Photo Paper (4" x 6") (60 Sheets/Pkg) (Q2502A)

Canon Pixma iP4600 - Is billed as a photo printer even though it lacks media slots; nevertheless, it's worth considering for the budget-minded home user and amateur photographer. It does give you two input trays and automatic duplexing. The ink tanks are inexpensive: 4.3 cents for a black-text page, and 12.2 for a four-color page.

The Canon Pixma iP4600 uses four different ink cartridges the black, cyan, yellow and magenta. The Canon OEM cartridges cost $14.99 at InkjetSuperstore and the remanufactured and compatible cartridges for only $5.99

For best printing results use Canon Original (OEM) Matte Inkjet Photo Paper (4" x 6") (120 Sheets/Pkg) (7981A014)

Canon Pixma MX7600 - Considering the price, the Canon Pixma MX7600 color inkjet multifunction printer had better be good--and it is. The paper handling includes two input trays and an automatic duplexer, and the scanner's 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) can scan two-sided documents in a single pass. Ink costs from the individual tanks are very economical.

Canon printer ink for this printer is available for OEM Canon ink cartridges for $15.50 and for compatible cartridges $6.50 at InkjetSuperstore.
