Welcome Spring by Cleaning Your HP Inkjet Printhead

Temperature changes, long periods without printing, storing an HP ink cartridge too long or leaving it ink-less are some of the reasons the printhead gets clogged. Clogging happens when the nozzles don’t allow ink to flow into the tank due to dried ink residue. You know you have a clogged printhead because white horizontal lines appear in the printed page.

We would like to share this advice for specific HP ink cartridges that we have at InkjetSuperstore; the HP 78 and HP 22 Tri-Color Cartridges and the HP 27, HP 74XL, HP 92 Black Ink Cartridges.

Obviously the advice goes for all HP inkjet printhead problems. You have two different options to perform in order to clean the printhead in any HP inkjet printer. All modern printers have a cleaning option. It is important to know that a cleaning program will take ink from the ink tank to perform the duty so be wise on the usage of this option if you don’t see positive results in the first try because you’ll end up wasting ink. Do not run the program more than three times because otherwise it will damage the printer.

You can also manually clean the printhead of the above mention HP ink cartridges. Click this link for step by step instructions.
