Ink Saving Tips for Mother's Day Printable Gifts

So you have chosen what you are going to print for Mom from our latest post HP Creative Studio Mother's Day Printable Crafts and Canon Creative Park Mother's Day Collection. The next step is preparing the materials and printing but before you do here are some ink saving tips. Let's us remind you that this tips can be used not only when printing gifts but at all times so you can save printer ink and thus save your hard earned cash.

Tip #1 - Organize Before Printing - Take some time to schedule printing and do the basics such as review, proofread and double check everything before printing if you do so you will save plenty of ink and paper.

Tip #2 - Print Preview is a Must - Most printer drivers have preview functions and this way you will know exactly how the result will be. It is very important to know what will come out specially when printing content from web pages.

Tip #3 - Paper Makes it or Brakes it - Be sure to use the right type of paper for the project you are doing. Photo paper to print photo cards, cardboard paper for boxes, label paper or sticker paper etc. etc. By using the right type of paper you will not waste printer ink and the end result will be fabulous.

Tip #4 -Less Resolution is OK - Most printers allow you to reduce the resolution under their advanced settings options. The best setting is 300 dpi (dots per inch) that is enough for most purposes. Most regular paper options can't handle high resolutions very well so the only time you should use them is when using high quality photo paper as we stated in the tip above.

Tip #5 - Print Until the End - Don’t run off and change the cartridge if your printer reports that the ink or toner is empty. More than likely you still have about 10-30% lifetime left. So keep printing until the printer stops. Meanwhile make sure you order replacements cartridges from InkjetSuperstore.com.
