Paper Week - How to Save Paper Video and Other Printing Practices

Continuing with Paper week we wanted to share this great video on different ways to save paper and thus save trees. Paper goes hand in had with printer ink and if you follow some simple steps you can save it from ending up in the trash.

We have gathered 5 paper saving tips for you to follow here are the first 3:

Paper Saving Tip #1- Review on Screen before printing. Usually it is a lot easier to print a draft and see if there are any changes to be made before sending the final printing command. But a good idea is to change the zoom of your text to save your eyes from straining without changing the layout of your document. Try to make all the changes and reviews and you will only print once the final document.

Paper Saving Tip #2- Print on Both Sides: This tip goes for printing and for photocopies. It is always a great idea to do double-side copies and that way cut the paper usage in half. Most printers do not have the “duplex” printer feature but you can do it the old fashion style by printing odd pages first, flipping around the pages, inserting them in the printer, and then print the even pages.

Paper Saving Tip#3 Print two pages in one: If you are printing several pages and you need them mostly for reading purposes it is a good idea to print two pages on one side. Word let's you do that. You can also print Power Point slides smaller and fit several in one page. Using the previous tip along with this one you can save up to 75% on paper.
