Brother MFC-7460DN a Little Printer with Big Results



Getting to know the monochrome Brother MFC-7460DN isn’t difficult because like the title says it is a little printer but the resulting print outs are outstanding. It is suitable for personal use, small office, and perfect for school use if color printing is not a must. Toner cartridge info included at the end of the post.

Some of the features this printer has that work so well are duplexer, and Ethernet. This multifunction printer has a secure print feature and basically that means that you tell the printer not to print a specific print job until you enter a PIN code at the front panel. You might ask why the need for a PIN code? The Brother MFC-7460DN can be used by a network so it will help to keep your printing private until you get to the printer and not before so someone else either reads or throws away your papers.

Printing is pretty fast with 27 pages per minute but it can also be used as a copier and fax machine. Another great feature is an automatic document feeder (ADF) of 35 pages. The entire printer is small at 12.4 by 15.9 by 15.7 inches (HWD), which gives it a smaller footprint than many inkjets.

Let’s talk about the printer ink. This Brother printer uses the TN420 Laser Toner Cartridge that prints out 1200 pages. You can also purchase a high yield cartridge that prints 2600 pages just paying a little more and the cartridge number is TN450 High Yield Black Laser Toner Cartridge.
